While special education services for preschool and school-aged students follow the same law, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (“IDEA”), there are some differences. This webinar will help parents prepare for their child’s transition from early intervention services to preschool services. Knowing what to expect will help make this a smooth process for your child and your family.
This webinar will provide an overview of preschool referrals, evaluations, and transition services. Also included is information including specific guidance regarding preschool special education, transitioning from First Steps, and developmental delay.
This webinar will be presented by Kristy Wright, Special Education Specialist, Indiana Department of Education.
