Revision considerations to date:

  • Shortened sentences, e.g., 2 sentences at 4 and 7 words vs. 1 sentence at 18 words.
  • Switching longer words with their shorter synonyms •Use of active voice vs passive voice
  • Use of simple (e.g., built) vs perfect tenses (e.g., has been built)
  • Removal of unnecessary adverbs and adjectives
  • CHALLENGE: Flesch-Kincaid grade level is still around 10 due to the nature of the text (Readability scores from Readable)

  • In small groups review the original and updated language. Pay particular attention to the problematic sentences (highlighted)

Review the Urgency Matrix from last meeting and let’s discuss which important and urgent ideas (2!) we can add the planning for

Charting Goal Trajectory

  • Step 1: As a large group, we selected goal(s) from Urgent and Important section to practice charting the course
  • Step 2: Let’s now work in Jamboard to brainstorm the ideal state for this goal, how to reach it, and how to prevent negative events that may become an obstacle to reach our goal. Also, think how we can measure our success
  • Step 3: As a large group, we will discuss and chart the trajectory for our goal based on your brainstorming.
